When I thought about opening this practice, I debated about writing a blog. Embarking on the adventure of becoming a small business owner while continuing to pursue knowledge in the field of psychology and learning to navigate the waters of motherhood leave me a little strapped for time. I don't usually like leaving things unfinished. For example, when inspiration strikes and I decide my house must be cleaned, I carve out enough time so that I can do everything from picking up the miscellaneous items scattered around to reorganizing the pantry. Sure, this may be indicative of a mild form of obsessive compulsive disorder, but it also means that I take my responsibilities seriously. The last thing I want to do is begin a project that will fall by the wayside.
In the end, I've decided that it's important and worth the commitment to provide free information about psychology, hypnotherapy and handwriting analysis. My hope is that this blog can become a resource of accurate information for everyone as well as a tool of clarification for my clients. I've heard the saying "knowledge is power" throughout my educational experience, and as I get older I find that it is more true than I could have ever imagined. I feel that in the information age it is so important to check your resources for credibility and to continue educating yourself for the sake of empowerment.
I chose this field of work because its important to me that others feel empowered and not a victim of their situation, history or associations. Its so important that people learn the tools to become self-sufficient, to be able to live their lives to their fullest potential and to share what they know so that they encourage others to do the same. Humanity has come a long way and the possibilities of what we can accomplish is limitless once we overcome ourselves.
Which is why I will utilize this blog to discuss hypnotherapy topics, to break down psychological jargon, and to provide methods of self-analyzation. Because I hope this can be a tool for empowerment, I encourage feedback so that I can uphold this blog to its highest potential to be helpful. So feel free to comment, email me, and partake in polls.
Thank you, and welcome!
